Walnut Kataifi

A delicious dessert made with roasted kataifi and walnuts, soaked in a sweet syrup.

Instructions:
  1. Prepare the syrup by boiling sugar and water for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in molasses. Let cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine butter, oil, egg yolk, yogurt, powdered sugar, baking powder, vanilla, and semolina. Gradually add flour and knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Fold in walnuts and roasted kataifi. Shape the dough into small finger-sized balls.
  4. Dip each shaped piece into egg white, then coat with roasted kataifi.
  5. Arrange on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Pour cooled syrup over the hot desserts and let them absorb for a few hours before serving.
  7. Garnish with pistachios and enjoy!
